What Perfume Does Gracie Abrams Wear?

What perfume does Gracie Abrams wear? The bottle she has talked about with the most affection is Le Labo Jasmin 17. In a 2021 beauty interview she called it her favourite perfume she had ever found, and said she carried a Santal 33 rollerball in her bag. Since summer 2026 she has also been the paid face of Chanel’s Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu, and a 2025 interview has her using roll-on perfume oils from a friend’s brand, CYKLAR.

That covers everything she has actually said. She doesn’t talk about perfume very often, so this guide puts her own words in date order, sorts out what she chose for herself from what she’s paid to front, and then turns the clues into scent advice you can use at a counter or for a gift. Whatever her words don’t establish, we say so.

Everything she’s said about scent, in order

Each entry below is a paraphrase of a published interview or announcement, with a link to the source. A few entries carry a short direct quote, never more than one from any single outlet. Wherever a claim comes second-hand rather than from her, we flag it.

  1. October 2021: two Le Labo bottles, one clear favourite. In her Into The Gloss beauty routine feature, Abrams said she kept a tiny rollerball of Le Labo Santal 33 in her bag, and that it reminded her of Los Angeles. She went on to say she was much more drawn to Le Labo’s Jasmin 17, which she linked with the East Coast, and kept a full bottle of it at home. Her verdict: “So far it’s my favorite perfume I’ve ever found.” Status: confirmed, in her own words, unpaid.
  2. March 2025: perfume oils made by a friend. In a makeup interview with Harper’s Bazaar (republished on AOL), she listed CYKLAR perfume oils as part of her routine, explained that the oils were made by her friend Claudia, and said they roll on and smell incredible. The image caption next to that answer named CYKLAR’s Vanilla Verve oil. She didn’t name that scent herself, though. Status: confirmed that she uses the brand; which oil she wears is unconfirmed.
  3. 2025: Chanel ambassador, but not for fragrance yet. According to the Vogue Scandinavia campaign report linked in the next entry, she became a Chanel ambassador in 2025. She fronted a spring-summer 2025 pre-collection campaign, then became a face of Coco Crush, Chanel’s fine jewellery line. None of that was about perfume, but it built the relationship that led to the fragrance role.
  4. 15 July 2026: the Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu announcement. Chanel named her the new face of its intense amber edition of Coco Mademoiselle. Vogue Scandinavia’s report includes her own account: as a child she smelled Chanel No 5 at her grandmother’s, she has always felt unfinished without fragrance, and she calls herself a creature of habit. She liked that the new scent is “ambiguous enough” that she can be whoever she wants on a given day. Status: confirmed paid role. Her comments came during a campaign.
  5. 16 July 2026: the grandmother’s vanity, in more detail. She expanded on the same memory in a Vogue Philippines beauty interview. She described sitting at her grandmother’s vanity pretending to be her, next to a bottle of No 5, and thinking a Chanel scent was the height of being a grown woman. Asked what a fragrance can give the wearer, she said confidence. She described her own routine as brows, blush, a spray of scent and out the door. Status: confirmed in her words, inside a paid campaign.
  6. 23 July 2026: a reported Diptyque Olène habit. A Russh round-up of celebrity perfumes says she loves Diptyque Olène and once compared it to walking through a garden at night. Russh credits the remark to an earlier shopping interview, which we could not open to check. Status: reported second-hand, not verified at the original source.
  7. August 2026: why perfume matters to her. In a Grazia fragrance interview she said she gets frustrated if she leaves home without perfume, that you can feel quite naked without your signature scent, and that she likes how a scent keeps you present in a room after you’ve left. She also compared her habit of writing down how she feels to a perfume capturing a moment. She summed it up as: “I feel different when I wear perfume.” Grazia describes Crush Absolu as her current signature spritz. Keep in mind that she’s the paid face of that perfume. Status: confirmed quotes, campaign context.
  8. 19–20 August 2026: launch. The fragrance went on sale in late August, together with a campaign film directed by Joe Wright, according to launch coverage in Hello! and Wallpaper*.

That’s the full list we could verify: one long-standing personal favourite, one handbag rollerball, one brand of perfume oils, one childhood memory, one paid campaign and one second-hand report. No fragrance line of her own exists, and nothing we found suggests one is coming.

Translating her words into notes

Celebrity scent talk is often vague, but Abrams gives more than most, because she keeps describing places, moods and rituals. Here’s how those words map onto things you can actually smell.

What she said or likesWhat that means in perfume termsNotes to look for
Jasmin 17 is her favourite and reminds her of the East CoastA soft, slightly creamy floral with a clean citrus opening, closer to skin than a big white-floral bombJasmine, neroli, orange blossom, musk, sandalwood, a touch of vanilla
Santal 33 in a rollerball reminds her of LAA dry, milky-woody scent with a slightly leathery, papery edge; roll-on use keeps it closeSandalwood, cedar, cardamom, iris, violet, a light leather accord
Perfume oils that “roll on”She likes scent that sits on the skin rather than one that fills a roomMusk, ambrette, vanilla, amber, tonka in an oil base
No 5 on her grandmother’s sink felt like womanhoodA soft spot for classic, powdery, aldehydic florals and the ritual of a vanity bottleAldehydes, iris, rose, jasmine, powdery musks
Liking that Crush Absolu is “ambiguous”A taste for scents that aren’t strictly sweet or strictly sharp, and that change with mood and skinFruit over patchouli, rose and jasmine with vetiver, vanilla balanced by woods
Olène as a garden at night (reported)An evening white floral that feels outdoors, green and a little headyJasmine, wisteria, honeysuckle, narcissus
Wanting a scent to linger after she has leftShe values a soft trail, not loud projectionMusks and woods with good staying power, applied to clothes or hair

The pattern is easy to see: jasmine keeps coming up, she likes skin-close formats, and she prefers scents that feel personal rather than showy. If you know the top, heart and base structure of a fragrance pyramid, you’ll notice most of her picks put their personality in the heart and base, not in a sparkling opening that’s gone in ten minutes.

What perfume does Gracie Abrams wear most? The bottles up close

Here are the five bottles linked to her, starting with the strongest evidence. For each one we note why she wears it, which tells you more about her taste than the brand name does.

Le Labo Jasmin 17: the personal favourite

This is the one to start with. Jasmin 17 is part of Le Labo’s Classic Collection. It was composed by Maurice Roucel and launched in 2006, according to the Luckyscent product listing. That listing gives the notes as neroli, bigarade (bitter orange), jasmine, orange flower, amber, musk, sandalwood and vanilla. Le Labo describes it as a modern alternative to old-fashioned florals.

On skin it opens bright and slightly bitter from the orange, then turns into a jasmine that’s more luminous and clean than indolic. It doesn’t have the barnyard warmth some jasmine soliflores bring. After an hour or so it settles into a smooth musky-woody base with a hint of sweetness from the vanilla. It’s a white floral for people who think they don’t like white florals, which fits the soft-spoken, diary-like quality people hear in her songs.

Her East Coast comparison makes sense here. It doesn’t feel like a beach or a desert. It feels like a cool spring morning with something blooming nearby. If you like it but want to try more jasmine styles, our guide to the best jasmine perfumes covers sweeter, greener and more sensual takes on the same flower.

Budget tier: $$$ (niche luxury). Who it suits: anyone who wants a clean floral signature that works at the office and still feels intimate up close.

Le Labo Santal 33: the handbag rollerball

Santal 33 is probably one of the most recognised scents of the last fifteen years. Perfumer Frank Voelkl created it for Le Labo in 2011, built around sandalwood, a violet accord, cardamom, iris, cedar, ambrox and leather. It smells dry, creamy and faintly smoky, a bit like a new notebook in a wooden room.

Pay attention to how she wore it. It was a tiny rollerball in her bag, not a full spray. She also said she preferred Jasmin 17, and joked that the LA association wasn’t meant as a criticism of the city. So treat Santal 33 as a secondary, on-the-go scent in her story, not her signature. Its roll-on format keeps it close to the body, which matches the other evidence about her. Our explainer on rollerball perfumes covers why that format suits people who reapply during the day.

Budget tier: $$$. Who it suits: lovers of unisex woods; also a sensible pick if you’re buying for someone whose taste you don’t know well.

CYKLAR perfume oils: the friend’s brand

In 2025 she named CYKLAR as part of her routine and explained that a friend makes the oils. So you’re looking at personal loyalty as well as taste, and we don’t have evidence of a paid partnership. She didn’t say which oil she uses. The caption next to the interview named Vanilla Verve, which CYKLAR’s own product page describes as spicy and sweet. It lists bergamot and green cardamom on top, vanilla, heliotrope and ambrette seed in the heart, and Peru balsam, amber, musk and tonka bean in the drydown.

Perfume oils wear differently from sprays. They have no alcohol blast at the start, they project less, and they often feel warmer because they sit in the skin’s own heat. If you’re unsure which format suits you, our comparison of perfume oil vs eau de parfum walks through the trade-offs.

Budget tier: $ to $$. Who it suits: anyone who wants a quiet, warm skin scent and likes to layer.

Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu: the paid campaign

This is the scent her name is attached to in 2026, so be clear about what that means. She is the paid face of the fragrance. Being the face of a perfume doesn’t prove it’s what she would have bought for herself. That said, her comments about it are personal and specific, and the story connects to her grandmother’s No 5.

Crush Absolu is an intense amber eau de parfum by Chanel house perfumer Olivier Polge. It marks twenty-five years since his father, Jacques Polge, created the original Coco Mademoiselle in 2001. According to the Vogue Scandinavia report linked above, it keeps the familiar rose, jasmine and patchouli core, adds vetiver and vanilla, and opens with grapefruit and lychee. Expect a juicier, warmer, more ambery take on the original. It’s fruit up top, a velvety floral middle and a long patchouli-vanilla trail.

There’s one more clue here. Jasmine is in the heart, which links it, loosely, to her long-standing Jasmin 17 habit. The two smell nothing alike, but both use jasmine as the bridge between brightness and warmth. If Chanel is the house you want to explore, our ranking of the best Chanel perfumes sets Coco Mademoiselle in the context of the wider range.

Budget tier: $$$ (designer luxury). Who it suits: people who like modern classics with a sweet-woody trail, for evenings and cooler months.

Diptyque Olène: the reported garden scent

We include this with a clear caveat. The claim reached us through a magazine round-up, and we couldn’t open the original interview to confirm the wording. Olène is a 1988 Diptyque eau de toilette by Serge Kolouguine. Basenotes lists wisteria and narcissus as its notes, and Diptyque’s own copy describes Venetian gardens in the evening, with jasmine and honeysuckle mentioned too. It’s a green-tinged, heady white floral. If the report is accurate, her jasmine habit runs even deeper than the Le Labo story suggests.

Budget tier: $$ to $$$. Who it suits: jasmine fans who want something more outdoorsy and less polished than Jasmin 17.

Scent moods for each era of her music

Please read this as editorial, not fact. Gracie Abrams hasn’t linked any perfume to any of her records. The pairings below are our own suggestions. They match the overall feel of each release, judged from its title and the general mood critics have described, to a scent style and some example bottles. They’re meant to help you choose a gift or a new perfume, not to tell you what she wore in the studio.

Minor (EP, 2020): a scent you’d only notice in a hug

Mood: small, private, a little raw. Scent style: clean skin musks that smell like you, only better. Example perfumes: Juliette Has a Gun Not a Perfume or Glossier You, both widely worn as sheer “your skin but better” scents, or a plain musk oil. Our edit of musk perfumes for women has more in this barely-there style.

This Is What It Feels Like (EP, 2021): morning florals with a bit of an ache

Mood: reflective, bittersweet, a step more confident. Scent style: sheer jasmine and orange blossom over musk. Example perfumes: Le Labo Jasmin 17 is the obvious choice, since this release came out the same year she named it as her favourite, though she never linked the two. For a lighter, cheaper version of the same idea, try a citrus-neroli cologne with a musky drydown.

Good Riddance (album, 2023): the cool, clean exhale

Mood: letting go, quiet and spacious. Scent style: airy woods, iris and laundry-fresh musks. Example perfumes: Le Labo Santal 33 for dry woods, or clean-laundry favourites such as Maison Margiela Replica Lazy Sunday Morning and Byredo Blanche. If clean is your thing, look for scents described as soapy, laundry-fresh or “clean musk”.

The Secret of Us (album, 2024): warm, close, a little flirtatious

Mood: brighter, more playful, built for singing along with friends. Scent style: creamy vanilla and soft spice in an oil or a skin-close EDP. Example perfumes: a vanilla perfume oil like CYKLAR Vanilla Verve, a richer vanilla eau de parfum such as Kayali Vanilla 28, or any musky vanilla that dries down cosy rather than sugary. Our guide to the best vanilla perfumes sorts them from light to rich.

Daughter from Hell (album, 2026): a bit more nerve, a bit more trail

Mood: the title alone suggests more bite and more drama than her earlier work. Scent style: fruity-patchouli chypres and ambers with real staying power. Example perfumes: Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu, the paid campaign from the same summer. You could also try the original Coco Mademoiselle, or any modern patchouli with a fruity opening. Our guide to the best patchouli perfumes shows how sweet or earthy this family can get.

Across all five releases, the pairings move from skin-close to a stronger trail, but none of them turns loud. Every pick stays wearable and personal, in line with what she’s said about her own taste.

Wearing a quiet, intimate skin scent, and making it last

Everything she has said points the same way. She wants perfume that sits close and stays put, and that people remember after she’s left the room. That’s a specific skill. Quiet scents are lovely but they fade fast, so here’s how to get the effect without reapplying every two hours.

Prep the skin first

Scent clings to moisturised skin far better than to dry skin. Apply an unscented body lotion, or a matching one if your perfume has a body line (Le Labo makes Jasmin 17 as a lotion), and give it a minute. Then apply your fragrance. Our full guide on how to make perfume stay longer has more tricks like this.

Choose your placement on purpose

For a skin scent, warm pulse points such as the inner wrists, the base of the throat and behind the ears give you a soft bubble. For the “still there after you’ve gone” effect she describes, add one mist to a scarf, a jumper collar or the ends of your hair, because fabric and hair hold scent longer than skin. Our guide to where to spray perfume maps the spots, and notes the ones to avoid if you have sensitive skin.

Keep it close, not loud

Two sprays is usually plenty for a musk or a sheer floral. The aim is that people notice it when they come close, not across a room. If you’re not sure how far a scent carries, test it on a friend: ask them to tell you at what distance they stop smelling it. For a lighter touch at work or in small spaces, our tips on how to wear perfume subtly help a lot.

Layer oil under spray

This is the most practical trick hidden in her routine. Roll a musk or vanilla oil onto your wrists and neck, then mist a floral eau de parfum on top. The oil anchors the spray, softens its opening and adds hours to the base. If you are wondering what perfume does Gracie Abrams wear in spirit rather than by label, a jasmine spray over a vanilla oil gives you something close to the combined spirit of her Le Labo and CYKLAR picks.

Carry a small format

She has always kept a little roll-on in her bag, and it’s a smart habit for quiet scents. A 10ml rollerball or decant lets you top up after lunch without overdoing it. Many houses sell travel sizes, and decanting a full bottle into a small atomiser works too.

Picking a present for a Gracie Abrams fan

Buying for a fan is easier than it sounds, because her taste is consistent: soft, personal, slightly nostalgic. Start with the person’s budget and how bold they like their scents, then pick a lane.

  • For the devoted fan who wants the real thing: Le Labo Jasmin 17 is the bottle she chose for herself, and it says so in her own words.
  • For someone who follows her style and fashion: Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu ties to her current Chanel era. Tell them it’s her campaign scent, not a long-held favourite, so the gift feels honest.
  • For the teen or student fan: a single perfume oil from a small brand, or a jasmine or vanilla rollerball, gives her skin-close style at a gentler price.
  • For the person who already owns everything: a discovery set of jasmine, musk and sandalwood scents lets them build their own version of the playlist above.

Wrap it with a handwritten note. She’s said she writes down how she feels as a way of capturing a moment, so a few lines of your own suit the theme. You’ll find jasmine florals, clean musks, warm vanillas and gift-ready minis in the giftexo perfume shop.

If you’re buying for someone who loves a whole scene of singer-songwriters, our post on what perfume Clairo wears follows the same evidence-first approach. Our celebrity perfume hub collects the rest.

Still wondering about Gracie Abrams and perfume?

What is Gracie Abrams’ favourite perfume?

Based on her own words, it’s Le Labo Jasmin 17, which is the best one-line answer to what perfume does Gracie Abrams wear. In a 2021 Into The Gloss interview she said it was the favourite perfume she had ever found and kept a full bottle at home. That’s the only time she has named an all-time favourite on the record. Her later Chanel work is paid, and her CYKLAR use comes through a friendship.

Is Gracie Abrams a Chanel fragrance ambassador?

Yes. In July 2026 Chanel announced her as the face of Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu, an intense amber edition of the 2001 classic, which launched in late August 2026. She had been a Chanel ambassador for fashion and Coco Crush jewellery since 2025. It’s a paid role, so read it as a partnership rather than proof of a private habit.

Does Gracie Abrams have her own perfume line?

No. As of October 2026 we found no Gracie Abrams fragrance, celebrity scent or licensing deal. Her only fragrance role is as the campaign face of a Chanel perfume. Any product sold as “Gracie Abrams perfume” is either an inspired-by scent or unofficial. Read the listing carefully before buying and check who actually makes it.

What does Le Labo Jasmin 17 smell like?

It opens with bright bitter orange and neroli, then moves into a clean, glowing jasmine and orange blossom heart. It dries down to soft musk, sandalwood, amber and a little vanilla. It reads as fresh and intimate rather than heavy, which makes it one of the easier white florals to wear every day, even for people who usually avoid big floral perfumes.

Does Gracie Abrams wear Santal 33?

She has said she kept a tiny Santal 33 rollerball in her bag and that it reminded her of Los Angeles. In the same breath she said she preferred Le Labo’s Jasmin 17. So Santal 33 is a confirmed part of her past rotation, but she has never called it her signature scent, and that interview dates from 2021.

How can I smell like Gracie Abrams for less?

Focus on the style rather than the label. Look for a sheer jasmine or orange blossom scent over musk, worn close to the skin, and layer it over an affordable musk or vanilla perfume oil. Rollerballs and small decants of the originals are another way in. Anything sold as a lookalike is similar in vibe, never an exact copy.
