Most pages online guess. Here’s what the record shows. Search “what perfume does Deepika Padukone wear” and you’ll find dozens of confident answers and almost no evidence behind any of them. So we went house by house through her public luxury ties and checked every claim against what she has actually said, signed or been seen with.
The short answer: Deepika Padukone has never publicly named a signature perfume in an interview we could verify. She’s a Louis Vuitton House Ambassador and a Cartier ambassador, but neither role has publicly involved fronting a fragrance. The most-repeated claim, Jo Malone London Orange Blossom, is reported by several outlets but has no traceable quote from her.
That answer is less exciting than “her signature scent is X.” It’s also the honest one. Below is the full dossier: the houses, the evidence grades, the perfumes from each house that actually suit the way she dresses, and how to wear that style when Mumbai humidity, Delhi winters or a wedding season gets involved.
What perfume does Deepika Padukone wear? How we graded the evidence
Every claim in this file gets one of four labels. We never move a claim up a tier without a source.
- Confirmed (own words): she named the perfume herself in an interview, video or post.
- Paid / ambassador: a contract or campaign links her to a house. That proves a business relationship, not personal taste.
- Reported: a credible outlet says she wears it but gives no direct quote or traceable source.
- Fan claim / unverified: listicles, social posts and “smell like” guides that match a perfume to her vibe.
Where we recommend perfumes ourselves, they’re marked editor’s pick. They’re our match for her style, not something she has endorsed.

Read that column on the right again. Six years of luxury work, and not one entry is a perfume.
One thing jumps out immediately. Her two biggest luxury contracts are with houses that make serious perfume, and neither has put her in a fragrance campaign. That gap is exactly why the internet keeps guessing.
Maison one: Louis Vuitton
The relationship
Louis Vuitton named Deepika its first Indian House Ambassador on 11 May 2022, according to FashionNetwork’s report on the announcement. She had already appeared in the brand’s pre-fall 2020 campaign. The announcement came with a Dauphine handbag campaign alongside Emma Stone and Zhou Dongyu. She told Vogue India, “I keep having to pinch myself because I can’t believe this is real.”
She has kept showing up for the house since. She sat front row at the Fall-Winter 2025/2026 show in Paris in March 2025. Later that year she joined the jury for the 2025 LVMH Prize, whose final was held at the Fondation Louis Vuitton in September. We found no announcement that the ambassadorship has ended. We also couldn’t find a 2026 LV appearance to confirm before publishing, so treat it as active but check the latest news.
Fragrance status: we found nothing showing she has fronted any Louis Vuitton perfume. Her LV work, as publicly announced, is leather goods and fashion.
The house’s fragrance signature
Louis Vuitton’s modern perfume line is the work of master perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud, who grew up in Grasse. The women’s collection leans on luminous, very high-quality florals rather than loud sugar. Think Grasse rose, jasmine sambac and iris, usually with a polished, airy finish. If you like classic French perfume houses, LV will feel familiar, just glossier.
That suits Deepika’s public style well. Her LV looks tend to run clean and architectural, with sharp tailoring and long, strong-shouldered silhouettes. A scent from this house would need to be polished, not cute.
Editor’s pick: Rose des Vents
Louis Vuitton lists centifolia rose from Grasse, iris and osmanthus as the key notes, with cedar and a peppery glaze in the description. It reads as a modern rose with good posture. It’s not jammy or old-fashioned. It’s the closest LV equivalent to her daytime press-tour look: a crisp white shirt, gold jewelry, hair pulled back. Read more about the style in our guide to the best rose fragrances. See the official Rose des Vents notes page.
Editor’s pick: Coeur Battant
The brand’s notes are a pear accord, jasmine sambac and narcissus, with ylang-ylang and patchouli adding depth. Jasmine sambac is the mogra of Indian gajra garlands, so this one makes sense for someone who often wears Indian designers. It’s fresher than a straight white floral, which matters in heat. If you love that flower, our list of jasmine perfumes has wider options.
Editor’s pick: Spell on You
Iris from Florence over rose, jasmine sambac and honeyed Egyptian acacia, finishing on musk. It’s the softest and most skin-like of the three, and it suits evening events where the gown is doing the talking. Fans of powdery perfumes tend to like it most.
Notes on the LV file
LV fragrances are expensive, and most are eau de parfum strength. If you’re curious, sample before buying a full bottle. These are editor’s picks only. Deepika has not named any of them.
Maison two: Cartier
The relationship
Cartier announced Deepika as an ambassador in early October 2022, as Gulf News reported at the time. Her own line was short: “It is my absolute honor to be joining the Cartier family.” Her first Cartier campaign showed her in the house’s diamond jewelry. In April 2025 she attended a Cartier anniversary gala. In January 2026 she was still being photographed in Cartier Tank watches.
We found no statement ending the role. Like LV, it’s best described as ongoing, with her most recent official event appearance we could confirm in 2025.
Fragrance status: we found no Cartier perfume campaign featuring her. The announcement coverage didn’t specify fragrance as part of the role.
The house’s fragrance signature
Cartier’s perfumes are directed by in-house perfumer Mathilde Laurent, and they have a distinct personality. Expect clarity, wit and unusual flower portraits rather than crowd-pleasing sweetness. Several of them treat a single flower almost like a gemstone, which fits a jeweler. They’re a natural fit for someone whose red-carpet signature is strong jewelry on a clean silhouette.
Editor’s pick: La Panthère
Cartier describes a gardenia warmed by apricot-like osmanthus over musk, framed by a chypre accord. It’s feline, grown-up and quietly bold. Of every perfume in this file, it’s the one we’d pick for Deepika at a black-tie event in Paris. The chypre structure gives it backbone, and the musk keeps it close to the skin. See Cartier’s La Panthère page for the house description, or browse our musk perfumes for women for related styles.
Editor’s pick: Baiser Volé
Cartier calls this its portrait of the lily, built from the leaf, the petal and the powdery stamen. It’s green and bright at first, then softly powdery. It’s a good daytime choice, and it suits the lighter, softer looks of a daytime press tour better than an evening gown.
Editor’s pick: Carat
Mathilde Laurent’s “diamond” fragrance is built from a rainbow of flowers. Note listings include violet, hyacinth, ylang-ylang, narcissus and honeysuckle, though sources disagree on whether iris or lily completes the set. It sparkles rather than smolders. It’s the obvious choice for a jewelry lover, and it’s light enough for warm-weather daytime wear.
Notes on the Cartier file
Cartier scents are generally less sweet than what’s trending on social media. If you grew up on gourmands, test them on skin for a full day before you decide. Again, these are editor’s picks. Deepika has not named any Cartier perfume as her own.
The retail and founder files: Nykaa and 82°E
Nykaa
In September 2025, beauty retailer Nykaa announced Deepika as a brand ambassador, linked to its sale events, festive campaigns and awards. Nykaa runs a perfumery business, but the announcement didn’t attach her to any fragrance. Don’t read a Nykaa ad as proof of what’s on her dressing table.
82°E
Her own brand, 82°E, is a skincare label, not a perfume house. In June 2023 it released Jasmine Breeze, sold in a short timed drop on its website. The 82°E press kit lists it as a hydrating face mist. Some headlines called it a “fragrance,” which caused confusion. It’s skincare with a jasmine name. A 2023 Curly Tales piece listed the mist among her travel-bag items, alongside an unnamed “personalised perfume.” Both details are the writer’s description, not her quote.
So if you want something tied directly to her, Jasmine Breeze is the only product with her name on it that has any scent connection. It’s still a face mist, not a perfume replacement.
What she has actually said about scent
Here is the uncomfortable part of the file: we couldn’t find a single verified statement in which Deepika Padukone names a perfume she wears.
We checked the claims that keep circulating:
- Jo Malone London Orange Blossom. This is the most common answer to “what perfume does Deepika Padukone wear.” Outlook Luxe listed it as her favorite in November 2025, and Siasat repeated it in 2024. A 2023 PopXo piece says it came from a Vogue “in the bag” video. But a recap of her 2022 Vogue In the Bag episode, the one featuring her LV Dauphine, lists a notebook, a pencil, a medicine and emergency kit and other items, and no perfume brand. We couldn’t trace the claim to her own words. Grade: Reported.
- Estée Lauder Modern Muse. A 2021 BollywoodShaadis roundup says it’s one of her favorites, with no source. Grade: Reported, unsourced.
- Narciso Rodriguez For Her. Cosmopolitan India (October 2025) and a 2025 Thai lifestyle site match it to her red-carpet presence. Neither claims she wears it. Grade: Editorial suggestion, not evidence.
- A personalised “DP” perfume. A 2023 Curly Tales web story mentions a personalised perfume in her travel bag. No brand or quote is given. Grade: Reported, brand unknown.
Her long-form interviews tend to focus on films, mental health advocacy and her businesses. Fragrance just doesn’t come up much. That’s not unusual. Many stars with jewelry and fashion contracts stay quiet about personal perfume, partly because naming a rival house’s bottle is awkward.
Why does Orange Blossom keep coming back? Partly because it’s plausible. It’s a light, clean, easy-to-like citrus floral, the sort of thing many people keep in a handbag. Plausible isn’t proof, though. Once one listicle prints a claim, others copy it, and within a couple of years it looks like settled fact. That’s how most “signature scent” answers spread online.
If you’re buying because you want to smell exactly like her, the honest move is to treat Orange Blossom as a credible rumor, not a fact. For the wider picture, our roundup of what perfumes celebrities wear shows how often these “favorites” turn out to be unsourced.
Reading her style: what a Deepika-inspired scent needs
Since the record doesn’t hand us a bottle, we built the profile from what’s public: how she dresses, the houses she represents and the brand she founded.
- Clean lines, strong jewelry. Her best-known looks pair simple silhouettes with statement pieces, often Cartier. A scent should have structure, not clutter.
- Indian roots, global finish. She moves between Indian designers, including Gaurav Gupta’s sculptural gowns, and Louis Vuitton tailoring. White florals like jasmine and tuberose bridge both worlds.
- Calm over loud. Her public image is composed. A skin-close musk or a polished floral fits her better than a sugary bomb.
There’s also her own brand to consider. 82°E chose jasmine for its one scent-led product. That doesn’t tell us what’s in her perfume cabinet, but it does suggest jasmine is a note the founder is happy to put her name on. That’s another reason Coeur Battant earns a place in this file.
That’s why our picks lean toward rose, jasmine, iris and gardenia-musk, and away from candy gourmands. If you’re new to how these layers unfold, our explainer on the fragrance pyramid helps.
Wearing her style in Indian weather
A perfume that sings in a Paris October can turn sour at 38°C in Delhi. Here’s how we’d adapt the dossier picks to Indian seasons. The same logic works for the Gulf and the American South.
| Season | What the weather does | Direction | From this file (editor’s picks) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Summer (March to June) | Dry or humid heat amplifies sweetness and projection | Sheer citrus-florals, green notes, light application | Jo Malone Orange Blossom (the reported pick), Cartier Baiser Volé, Cartier Carat |
| Monsoon (June to September) | Humidity makes heavy scents feel sticky and close | Fresh fruit-florals, airy musks, skip dense resins | LV Coeur Battant, a few sprays of LV Rose des Vents on clothing |
| Winter (November to February) | Cool air mutes perfume, so it needs more depth | Chypre, iris, musk, deeper rose | Cartier La Panthère, LV Spell on You, Estée Lauder Modern Muse |
| Festive and wedding season | Long evenings, crowds, flowers, incense, food | White florals with lasting power, but not overwhelming | LV Coeur Battant for mehendi and daytime events, Cartier La Panthère for receptions |
Practical tips for heat and humidity
- Spray on fabric or hair as well as skin in summer. Fabric holds scent without it turning sharp. Our guide on where to spray perfume covers the details.
- Use fewer sprays in the monsoon. Humidity carries scent further than you think, especially indoors.
- For long wedding nights, moisturize first and reapply once. We explain why in how to make perfume stay longer.
- If you love attar, a dab of jasmine or rose oil under a light eau de parfum can be beautiful at festive events. Our attar vs perfume guide explains how they differ.
Festive and bridal note
Brides often ask for “the Deepika look” in fragrance as much as in styling. If that’s you, choose one perfume for the main ceremony and one lighter option for daytime functions. Test both with your actual outfit, flowers and makeup. Our bridal perfume picks go deeper on long-wearing choices.
Case summary: a three-bottle Deepika file
If you want a short version of this dossier for your own shelf, build it in three bottles, one per mood in her public wardrobe.
- The day bottle: something clean and citrus-floral. Jo Malone Orange Blossom is the reported pick. Cartier Baiser Volé is the greener, more distinctive editor’s pick.
- The heritage bottle: a jasmine-led floral that works with Indian designer wear, such as Louis Vuitton Coeur Battant.
- The red-carpet bottle: something with structure and a musky trail, such as Cartier La Panthère or LV Spell on You.
That set won’t settle the “what perfume does Deepika Padukone wear” question for good, and nothing on the public record can right now. What it does is follow the houses she actually works with and the way she actually dresses. That’s a sounder basis than a copied listicle. If she ever names a scent herself, this file will be updated, and the new entry will go in the “Confirmed” column first.
Gifting a scent inspired by Deepika
Ask any fan what perfume Deepika Padukone wears and you’ll probably hear Jo Malone. If you’re buying for a Deepika fan, skip the claim that it’s “her exact perfume” on the gift card. That claim is shaky. Frame it as a scent inspired by her style instead. A polished rose, a jasmine-led floral or a soft musk will make sense with her look and won’t depend on a rumor. For travel-friendly gifting, a small spray format lets the recipient test a high-end scent in Indian heat before committing to a full bottle. You can explore options across the Giftexo shop, and before ordering online, our guide to spotting fake perfume is worth a two-minute read. Luxury names like Louis Vuitton and Cartier attract counterfeits.
Case notes: reader questions
What is Deepika Padukone’s favorite perfume?
No verified interview has her naming one. The most-repeated claim is Jo Malone London Orange Blossom, reported by outlets including Outlook Luxe. We couldn’t trace it to her own words, so treat it as reported, not confirmed. Estée Lauder Modern Muse is also mentioned in an unsourced 2021 roundup.
Is Deepika Padukone the face of a Louis Vuitton perfume?
Not as far as public records show. Louis Vuitton made her a House Ambassador in May 2022, and her announced work centered on the Dauphine bag and fashion. We found no LV fragrance campaign featuring her. Any page saying she fronts an LV perfume should cite a campaign, and we haven’t seen one.
Does Deepika Padukone promote Cartier perfume?
Her Cartier ambassadorship, announced in October 2022, has publicly focused on jewelry and watches. Her campaign imagery shows diamonds, and she wears Tank watches. We found no Cartier fragrance campaign with her, though La Panthère and Baiser Volé suit her style well as editor’s picks.
Does Deepika Padukone have her own perfume?
No. Her brand 82°E is a skincare company. Its Jasmine Breeze product, released in June 2023, is a hydrating face mist, even though some headlines called it a fragrance. There is no Deepika Padukone perfume on the market as of November 2026.
What perfume smells like Deepika Padukone’s style?
Look for polished florals with structure: a modern rose such as Louis Vuitton Rose des Vents, a jasmine sambac scent such as Coeur Battant, or a gardenia-musk chypre such as Cartier La Panthère. These match her clean silhouettes and statement jewelry. They’re editor’s picks, not her confirmed perfumes.
Is Jo Malone Orange Blossom good for Indian summers?
Yes, it’s one of the easier picks for heat. It’s a light cologne-strength citrus floral, so it won’t turn cloying at high temperatures. The trade-off is longevity: expect to reapply on long days, or spray some on clothing. Our summer perfume guide lists longer-lasting alternatives.
Where can I find other Bollywood and global star scent files?
We keep checking celebrity fragrance claims with the same evidence grades. Start with our feature on famous women and their favorite perfumes. When a star confirms a scent in her own words, we update the record.
